Do I have a Problem?

When I went to put away the container of Nutella I bought the other day, I came to the realization that I might have a problem.  Do you think I have a problem?
I like it best as filling in a crepe when it's warm and gooey.
What's YOUR favorite way to eat it?

Art Kit

I actually came away from a Yankee Swap with a great present this Christmas.  I have my Yankee Swap strategies that I carry from year to year.  Here's a synopsis:

If you pick a bad number (low or middle) [which I seem to do every time] then you can't pick a good prize because you are going to lose it and end up with nose hair clippers or a Chia Pet.  SO, you have to pick a middle of the road gift that you think you would like, but no one else might.  I usually take away some picture frames or fuzzy blanket or something and I'm fine with it.  I rarely get the gift cards.

THIS year, my brother bought these really cool drawing items as his swap gift.  Knowing my dad's family, none of them are artists, so I felt safe in picking this one.  My mom was the only one left who might take it.  She ended up taking a laptop holder thing.

I felt the art kit needed some portability and organization!
My brother didn't include the crayola pencils, but the other things were part of the gift.
I can picture taking this to the beach, park, pool, etc. during the summer and sitting there lazily drawing away!

I got the basic idea from this tutorial:  Traveling Art Show but changed it a little bit.

Movie Proposals - Answers!

Ha!  This was harder than I thought I guess!

Katie responded with the most correct answers.  (She got most of the historical movies correct!)

1.) The Sound of Music
2.) While You Were Sleeping
3.) Anne of Avonlea
4.) Fiddler on the Roof
5.) Sense and Sensibility
6.) Runaway Bride
7.) North and South
8.) Pride and Prejudice
9.) Bleak House - Esther and Alan Woodcourt (I bet you remember now, Katie!)
10.)  Emma (Gwyneth Paltrow version which is my ultimate favorite!)

I enjoyed reminiscing about those romantic (and revolting) proposals!  I actually think Morgan Harris' proposal is very sweet in AoA, but I'm glad she didn't say "Yes!"  Hodel and Perchik's is funny, as is Mr. Collins.'

Movie Proposal Challenge

While playing a "Guess the movie" status game on facebook, I thought it would be fun to do a movie proposal challenge in blogland.  Here are some favorite movie proposal scenes.  Guess the movie!

Note:  Not all of them end well!

#1 - Him:  Is there anyone I should go to, to ask permission to marry you?
Her:  Why don't we ask - Both:  The children?

#2 Him:  Marry me?
Her:  Yeah, I love you.
Him:  I love you back.

#3 Her:  You really mean that, don't you?
Him:  My life on it.  I only know I could never bear to lose you.  Would you do me the honor of giving me your hand in marriage?

#4 Her:  I think you are asking me to marry you.
Him:  Well, in a theoretical sense, yes.  I am.
Her:  I was hoping you were.

#5 Him:  I have come with no expectations, only to express, now I am able, - that my heart is, and always will be... yours.

# 6 Him:  "Look, I guarantee there'll be tough times.  I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing.  but I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me.

#7 Him:  I don't want to possess you.  I wish to marry you because I love you.

#8  [snicker]Him:  But you can hardly doubt the object of my discourse, however you feminine delicacy may lead you to dissemble for, as almost as soon as I entered the house, I singled you out as the companion of my future life! But before I am run away by my feelings on this subject, perhaps it would be advisable for me to state my reasons for marrying.

#9 Him:  You say you will miss me?
Her:  Yes, I shall, very much.
Him:  Then come with me, as my wife.  You must know I've been in love with you almost since we first met.  Several times I've come so close to telling you.  And I am sure you feel something for me too.
(more dialogue)
Him:  I don't want you to feel honored by my proposal.  I want you to marry me.  I want you to love me, as I love you.

# 10 [My personal fave]  Him:  Marry me?  Marry me, my wonderful, darling friend.

You All Were Right!

You smarties!  Thank you for all the congratulations!

Yes, we are having our first baby this September!  We are very excited!  We will find out the gender in about eight weeks, but we'll probably keep the name to ourselves (until he/she is born, of course!).  My husband has been busy reading "instruction manuals" as he calls them (a.k.a. parenting books).  We'd appreciate your prayers, if you would so oblige, for a healthy pregnancy and baby!  I'm sure this baby will be quirky, I wonder if it will be quaint as well!  ;)

Here is what my mom was looking at in the first picture that clued her in!
We got Levi to help a little bit!

I've got some projects to add soon and I'm thinking about my next giveaway... hmmmm!
