Movie Proposals - Answers!

Ha!  This was harder than I thought I guess!

Katie responded with the most correct answers.  (She got most of the historical movies correct!)

I enjoyed reminiscing about those romantic (and revolting) proposals!  I actually think Morgan Harris' proposal is very sweet in AoA, but I'm glad she didn't say "Yes!"  Hodel and Perchik's is funny, as is Mr. Collins.' 

Movie Proposal Challenge

While playing a "Guess the movie" status game on facebook, I thought it would be fun to do a movie proposal challenge in blogland.  Here are some favorite movie proposal scenes.  Guess the movie!

Note:  Not all of them end well!

#1 - Him:  Is there anyone I should go to, to ask permission to marry you?
Her:  Why don't we ask - Both:  The children?

#2 Him:  Marry me?
Her:  Yeah, I love you.
Him:  I love you back.

#3 Her:  You really mean that, don't you?
Him:  My life on it.  I only know I could never bear to lose you.  Would you do me the honor of giving me your hand in marriage?

#4 Her:  I think you are asking me to marry you.
Him:  Well, in a theoretical sense, yes.  I am.
Her:  I was hoping you were.

#5 Him:  I have come with no expectations, only to express, now I am able, - that my heart is, and always will be... yours.

# 6 Him:  "Look, I guarantee there'll be tough times.  I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing.  but I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me.

#7 Him:  I don't want to possess you.  I wish to marry you because I love you.

#8  [snicker]Him:  But you can hardly doubt the object of my discourse, however you feminine delicacy may lead you to dissemble for, as almost as soon as I entered the house, I singled you out as the companion of my future life! But before I am run away by my feelings on this subject, perhaps it would be advisable for me to state my reasons for marrying.

#9 Him:  You say you will miss me?
Her:  Yes, I shall, very much.
Him:  Then come with me, as my wife.  You must know I've been in love with you almost since we first met.  Several times I've come so close to telling you.  And I am sure you feel something for me too.
(more dialogue)
Him:  I don't want you to feel honored by my proposal.  I want you to marry me.  I want you to love me, as I love you.
