Fabric by Fabric: One Yard Wonders Giveaway

Woo!  The giveaways are flying at this blog!    I'm excited to find out who won Penelope the rag doll and the SMS gift certificate tonight!

In the meantime, I'm starting another giveaway for the new One Yard Wonders book.  I'm very excited to be part of it!
My name is in the index!

Here's my bio!  Written while Amelia was still in utero!
My project!  Woot!

Now, don't all go out and make my project!  I have a few in mind to make though.  I'm definitely intrigued by the child's chair - page 232. One yard of fabric?  Really?  Here are some others I want to try:
Retro bag:  Page 50
Organizer Wallet:  Page 56
Tuxedo dress:  Page 68
Last minute tunic:  Page 333

I'll be sure and share when I try some of these!

This book would make a GREAT Christmas present.  Buy someone a yard of fabric to go with it so they can start right in!

Anyway...  I will leave this giveaway open until Sunday at 5PM.  I'll announce the winner Sunday night or Monday morning.  Just leave me a comment.  Tell me something you are proud to be involved with or something most people do not know about you.  Or just say, "Hi," because it's almost Christmas and you are busy.

:D  Thanks for entering!

  1. Not many of my online sewing friends know that I just finished a graduate degree from Harvard. It's something that I am proud of, but doesn't really come up in sewing conversation too often!

P.S. I miss the snow in New England now that I live in the PNW! Hope you are having a white Christmas. :)

  13. Congrats on the book. We actually got this for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I hope I get one too. :)

One thing most online friends don't know about me is that I play the violin, and I'm very involved in my little community orchestra. It's hard sometimes to take an evening every week to go, but it's so worth it and it keeps me going when the rest of life seems overwhelming.

  16. Great gift idea you gave, perfect with a yard of fabric for a sewing friend or someone who'd like to start. I'm enjoying the "what people don't know about me comments" there's some amazing women out there graduating from Harvard and being in orchestra's. Go girl power!!

  17. How about I wrote, recorded and produced my first CD in 2002? Most of my on-line friends don't know that I'm a musician! :) Caren

  18. Great job, Keri!
I'm not really involved in anything because I'm too busy juggling being a mom, wife and working. But in my spare time I try to be crafty. I'm making my first quilt. All on my own! Well with a little guidance from Tara C.
    Enjoy the holidays!

And because I've already been long-winded, I'll just say "Hi!".

  23. Most people don't know what a mess my sewing studio is. I seem to be able to keep everything else organized, but that room quickly reverts back to disarray. I think I need more room. Or more organizational tools. (That's what I like to tell myself anyway....)

  24. I am most proud of the fact that I stay home and keep my little 4 year old granddaughter while her mommy is at work. As a mom myself I had to work out of the home as well. I am so blessed now to be able to spend this time with my little granddaughter. I would love to win this book. I have lots of 1 yard cuts in my stash!!

  29. Congratulations on being in the book! I already bought my own copy but I'd love to gift one to my crafty friend Bridget - my sewing partner in crime, she always keeps me inspired! (and I'm very much in love with my copy so I don't think I'd have the heart to lend it out in the next month or so!)

  30. How cool!! Congrats on such a cool thing! Something most of my online friends don't know about me is that I am also a singer. I sing with my wonderful hubby, usually in churches. It makes me very joyful.

  31. I'm happy to be involved in a tiny quilt bee. 3 people. We are making a quilt for a couple and their new baby. It is their 1st christmas with the baby and they've recently moved (away from us). They have no family around and are making new friends. We figured if they had a baby quilt for the new boy from some old friends that feel like family, they could see that there is lots of love being sent from afar.
